Trying out Roo Code
draft
I tried Cline and liked it (see Vibe coding with Cline) but didn’t like that it tended to do it’s own thing and not follow my instructions carefully. Roo Code is a fork of Cline. Apparently people were frustrated with the Cline maintainers who weren’t integrating improvements that other people had made. Since Roo Code focuses on rapid innovation and accepts many community contributions compared to Cline, it may be more of a security risk. (Perhaps I should do my coding experiments inside a Docker instance.)
Installing it as a VS Code is easy, as is connecting to OpenRouter.
