I run a discussion meetup group here in Barcelona. Every few weeks I (or one of the group members) talks about something that interests them. In this video I run through a talk I did about Giordano Bruno and Renaissance magic. Amongst other things I talk about the Catalan mystic Ramon Llull, the Italian Renaissance thinker and magician Ficino and his sponsor the Medici’s, Botticelli’s Primavera, memory techniques including the method of loci (memory palace), Bruno’s dress, books, heretical ideas and magical thinking, and the historian of Bruno Francis Yates.
